How do I fit my Night Guard?Updated 4 hours ago
The Night Guard is fitted at home using the fitting cradle included in the pack. It’s designed for the upper teeth only. Timing is very important, so please follow each step carefully.
Step 1: get ready
Fill a ceramic bowl with freshly boiled water, have your timer ready and put a mug of cold water within easy reach. Practice putting the fitting cradle in your mouth a few times first, without the Night Guard.
Step 2: heat your Night Guard (12 seconds)
Place your Night Guard in the hot water for exactly 12 seconds. Don’t leave it in for longer, as this can damage it.
Step 3: remove and cool slightly
Use a spoon to lift your Night Guard out of the water. Turn it upside down to drain it, then shake it firmly for up to 10 seconds. It will be hot, so take care.
Step 4: fit your Night Guard
Place your Night Guard centrally in the fitting cradle. Put the cradle in your mouth and bite down firmly for 30 to 60 seconds.
Step 5: set your Night Guard
Take it out of your mouth and put the Night Guard in cold water for 30 seconds.
Step 6: let it settle
For best results, put your Night Guard in the fridge for 15 minutes, or leave it at room temperature for an hour, before wearing it.
