Which level of mouthguard should I choose?

All OPRO mouthguards are suitable for all sports. Each level up gives more protection and a closer fit. As a general guide, the higher the risk of impact in your sport, or the more often you train and play, the higher the level we’d recommend.

Our levels, from entry level to highest protection

• Snap-Fit: ready to wear straight from the pack, with no fitting needed. Ideal for beginners or as a spare for your kit bag.
• Bronze: for occasional training, recreational play and light sparring.
• Silver: for regular training, weekly matches and frequent sparring.
• Gold: for frequent competition and high-impact sport where performance counts.
• Instant Custom-Fit: our highest protection. A custom, dentist-level fit you can do at home, trusted by professional athletes and elite teams.

Single, dual and triple layer protection

• Single layer: Snap-Fit is made from one pre-formed layer, so it’s ready to use straight away without moulding.
• Dual layer: Bronze, Silver and Gold have a protective outer shell and a soft inner layer of fitting fins. The inner layer moulds around your teeth for a secure fit, while the two layers work together to absorb and spread the force of an impact.
• Triple layer: Instant Custom-Fit adds a third layer for our highest level of protection, combining an outer shell, a middle layer and a detailed inner impression layer.

Instant Custom-Fit protection options

Instant Custom-Fit comes in three protection options. All three have triple-layer protection.

• Standard: slim, comfortable and breathable. Designed with ball sports such as rugby in mind.
• Enhanced: a tougher outer layer with a thicker feel. Designed for stick sports such as hockey and lacrosse, and a good choice if you prefer a thicker mouthguard.
• Ultimate: the same slim, breathable fit as Standard, with a specially designed inner layer for extra shock absorption over critical areas of the teeth. Suitable for all sports, and our recommendation for combat sports such as boxing, MMA and martial arts.
